Atlantico Business Development is happy to announce its sixth webinar: the 3rd (online) Cabo Verde Shipping Forum, set to take place on February 25th, from 15.00 - 16.00 hrs CET (Amsterdam Time). The event will be broadcast live from our studio in the Rotterdam port area.
Keynote Speaker will be H.E. Dr Paulo Veiga, Minister for Maritime Economy of the Republic of Cabo Verde, while other speakers will include Alcídio Lopes, CEO of ENAPOR, Cabo Verde's port authority. Guilherme Gomes, Commercial Manager of shipping company GS Lines, Elisa Zamora, member of the Board of MedCruise as well as Luís Viúla, Director of Business Development of bunkering supplier Enacol.

Atlantico Business Development will organize a third business mission to Cabo Verde, after successfull earlier missions in 2014 and 2016. The mission is an intitiative of the CaboDutch International Business Chamber and will be organized in cooperation with both Cabo Verde Chambers of Commerce.
The mission will take place from November 14-17th 2018 and will coincide with FIC, the Feira Internacional de Cabo Verde, the country's foremost trade fair. Participation is open to companies from various sectors, but there will be some focus on the opportunities in the local maritime sector as well as on trade (both import and export opportunities). On September 26th 2017 Atlantico Business Development organised the first CaboDutch Business Meet on behalf of the Cabo Verde North Chamber of Commerce (BeCV) and the bilateral CaboDutch International Business Chamber. The event took place at the Rotterdam Chamber of Commerce.
Some 20 companies and mayors from Cabo Verde met up with some 40 Dutch companies and organisations. Together they explored business opportunities in Cabo Verde's northern islands Boa Vista, São Vicente, São Nicolau and Santo Antão. Options were discussed in both plenary sesions and individual B2Bs and were found in the maritime, agribusiness, water, renewable energy production and tourism sectors. The CaboDutch Business Meet was sponsored by NL Enterprise Agency, Lopes Liquors, Boundless World Solutions, the Chamber of Commerce and Atlantico Business Development. Atlantico Business Development and the CaboDutch International Business Chamber organized their first joint trade mission to Cabo Verde from November 13-17th. In a purely private initiative, eleven Dutch companies visited local companies, municipalities, chambers of commerce and government entities in Sal, São Vicente and Praia.
The delegation was also be able to participate in Cabo Verde's bustling international trade fair FIC. The companies returned home full of insight, contacts and business leads.
The CaboDutch International Business Chamber signed cooperation agreements with both Chambers of Commerce in Cabo Verde (Sotavento and Barlavento), paving the way for more joint future activities. More info can be found in our newsletter.

CaboDutch International Business Chamber has asked Atlantico Business Development to investigate the obstacles in trade and investment between The Netherlands en Cabo Verde. Around 200 businesses and other actors in the private sector have been invited to vote on what in their opinion are the most important obstacles to more trade and investment between the two countries.
