Post-Pandemic Opportunities

 

 

Atlantico Business Development is proud to announce the third (online) edition of the Cabo Verde Shipping Forum, set for February 25th, from 15.00 - 16.00 hrs CET (Amsterdam Time).

Previous (live) editions of this event took place in Rotterdam in 2015 and in Praia in 2018.

A third (live) edition was set for Cabo Verde in 2020, but that was of course not possible due to the pandemic.

 

The Forum's goals

The Cabo Verde Shipping Forum aims first of all to promote maritime business opportunities and developments in Cabo Verde to a relevant international audience in the areas of cruise shipping, bunkering, short sea shipping, port development and related areas like training, crewing, logistics, finance and insurance.

Secondly, the Cabo Verde Shipping Forum aspires to add to the debate on the future, opportunities and growth of the shipping sector in Cabo Verde.

This third (online) edition of the Cabo Verde Shipping Forum will look at the opportunities that will arise after the pandemic, when the economic rebound and the return of international travel and tourism will reboot the Cabo Verde economy as well as its maritime business opportunities.

But maritime business did not stand still during the pandemic. For instance, a new foreign owned tanker company was set up, Antão Shipping, while bunkering activities of companies like Enacol have continued. 

 

Program

We are proud to announce that H.E. Dr. Paulo Veiga, Minister of Maritime Economy of the Republic of Cabo Verde, will be keynote speaker at the third (online) edtion of the Cabo Verde Shipping Forum.

The panel is further composed of: Alcídio Lopes, CEO of ENAPOR, Cabo Verde's port authority, Guilherme Gomes, Commercial Mamager of GS Lines shipping company and Luís Viúla, Director of Business Development of the Enacol bunkering company and Elisa Zamora, Member of the Board of MedCruise.

The Cabo Verde Shipping Forum is an initiative of Atlantico Business Development, the maritime business developer and port promotion company from Rotterdam.

The Cabo Verde Shipping Forum is supported by the private sector CaboDutch International Business Chamber, an international business association ((also open to non-Dutch companies) that is a partner of both Chambers of Commerce of Cabo Verde.
